About me
Daughter of Manlleu, I live and work in Els Hostalets de Pierola. Very connected with Piera, and Barcelona.
Although I have been painting for many years, since 2018 I have been fulfilling the dream of working there full-time and making a living from painting.
I use the technique of Watercolor on paper, and oil painting on canvas, cardboard or wood.
I am equally passionate about classical painting (Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Da Vinci, Goya,…) and abstract painting (Rothko, Pollock, Tàpies,… ). I like to unite these two ways of expressing reality.
The great painters of Impressionism such as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, and Van Gogh’s post-impressionism are a model for me.
I thank the “avant-gardes” who have made it possible for all individual paths to be possible today.
The themes that have occupied me so far have been: portraits of grandparents (DRAWINGS), childhood (exhibition FRAGMENTS), portraits of other ethnic groups (exhibition THE HIDDEN FACE), the relationship of people with animals (exhibitions COMPLICIT LOOKS and AMANSINT BABOÏNS), still lifes (exhibition LIVING NATURE).
I always try to remember what Henry Matisse said: “There is nothing as difficult as painting a rose, because to do so you must have forgotten all the roses painted”.
This phrase speaks to me of being free, and of being one hundred percent in the present moment, a full attention when you observe something, as if you were seeing it for the first time.
Apart from painting, another of my hobbies is cinema. I dedicate a small space to it where I share films that I liked and personal reflections. It’s called Magradaelcinema! And if you want to take a look, you are invited!

Studies
1988-89 School of Arts and Crafts of Vic
1989-93 Art studies at the Escola Eina in Barcelona, where he was able to interact with artists of the stature of: Antoni Llena, Perejaume, Joaquim Chancho, Hernández Pijoan, Ràfols Casamada, Jordi Colomer, Patricio Vélez, Vicenç Altaió, Antònia Vilà and Rosa Tarruella.
