Welcome

I am Carlota Delgar, daughter of Manlleu and I currently live and work in Hostalets de Pierola, also closely linked to Piera and Barcelona.

Since 2018 I have been lucky enough to dedicate myself fully to what I like most: painting. I work with watercolor on paper and oil painting on canvas, cardboard or wood.

My work unites two worlds that I am passionate about: classical painting (Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Goya…) and abstract painting (Rothko, Tàpies, Pollock…). I am also deeply inspired by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists such as Monet, Degas or Van Gogh.

I have tackled topics such as old age (Drawings), childhood (Fragments), other ethnicities (The Hidden Face), the relationship between people and animals (Complicit Looks, Taming Baboons), and still lifes (Living Nature).
